SS ’026 COMMUNITY AS A FORM OF RESEARCH

NO ONERESEARCHES ALONE.

A laboratory before it is a label, rebuilt by VISURA as a living digital archive.

SCROLL
VISURA / CASE 02 / REBRAND CONCEPT

Research, made explorable.

Stone Island's innovation lives across garments, materials, campaigns and communities. VISURA brings those fragments together in one living digital archive, turning research into exploration, and exploration into commerce.

Challenge
Connect decades of material innovation in one coherent digital experience.
Creative idea
The archive behaves like a laboratory: active, searchable and always evolving.

Material research

Surface before form.

Stone Island begins at the fabric, not the silhouette. A cloth is dyed, coated, laminated or burned until it behaves in a new way, and only then does it become a garment.

ACTIVE MATERIALPure Metal Shell
Process
Vacuum-deposited stainless-steel film
Behaviour
Metal changes colour as the surface oxidises and catches light.

Reflective research

Light is the material.

Glass microspheres, foils and metal coatings turn visibility itself into a property of the cloth. The garment changes with the room it stands in.

The Living Archive

One archive.
One continuous experiment.

Not a museum. Every surface here is still active, a reference to be sampled, reworked and pushed into the next season.

Community as a form of research

The people are the field test.

  1. Honesty, respect and dreams.
Paolo Maldini Former football player · Milan SS ’026
  2. Energy is everything.
Chito Vera Professional mixed martial artist SS ’026

Stone Island builds its collections around the people who already wear them, athletes, musicians, designers and thinkers whose use of the garment becomes part of the research.

VISURA / DESIGN SYSTEM

One idea.
Four connected layers.

  1. 01Archive becomes navigation.

Historic garments form an interface instead of a static museum.

  2. 02Material becomes storytelling.

Surfaces, codes and processes provide the visual language.

  3. 03Community becomes evidence.

The people wearing the garments complete the research cycle.

  4. 04Research becomes commerce.

Every story can lead naturally into a product experience.
